OUTSIDE MAGAZINE | Get outside.
As Outside Magazine launched their Get Outside Instagram page, they asked us to create a video that aligns with their brand, and shares why we get outside.

“Why do you get outside?”🏔️
At first glance it seems like a silly question! Growing up I would make any and EVERY excuse to run around barefoot until the street lights came on, indicating that it was time to get home for some mac and cheese. But the more I thought about it and why it’s now important to me as a 24 year old, I landed on a few of these reasons:
🌲 It allows me to mentally reset and realign.
🌲 Because it’s a privilege to have access to trails and the ability to explore them.
🌲 I’m able to find new limits within myself, both physically and mentally.
🌲 We are meant to be here—to explore, to create, and to learn as much as we can.
🌲 Because I am always allowed to be a beginner and try something new. Nature holds that space for me with no judgement.
🌲 It inspires me to get scared… And allows me to redefine scared.
My list could go on and on…
As I started writing these reasons down, I realized that I had been overlooking some of those key concepts. Activities that once inspired me had now seemingly become a chore. And I think that’s okay, life happens and we flow with the seasons! It was both shocking and a relief—that somehow I had forgotten my reason or that it had been overlooked for some time. But after acknowledging that, I’ve never been more excited and inspired to hit the trails… Now I’m ready to really get after it.
Why do you get outside? How does the outdoor space make you feel? And why is that important to you? Be curious, and honestly ask yourself ‘why.’
Stay groovy my dudes. 👊
